Statistics from 2009

B2B is an intensive one day event, covering a wide range of topics and attracting over 500 individuals from around the world. B2B started as an exhibition with commercial presentations and workshops, and has now evolved into a conference in it's own right, with an international faculty of invited panelists and speakers delving into hot topics. In addition, a range of commercial, non-commercial and scientist-led round table workshops provide education and networking on specific topics. The exhibit sells out each year, and along with the partnering, provides visitors with a key opportunity to source new suppliers and service provides and learn from the experts supporting the UK's life science and healthcare industries.

Who attends Bench2Boardroom?

Now entering it's 4th edition, B2B speaks particularly well to middle managers and senior scientists involved in the research, development, regulation and business opportunities surrounding devices, diagnostics, biologics, small molecules and other related healthcare and life science therapeutics. The event attracts a true cross section of medtech and biotech staff, including people from the lab bench through to the boardroom - researchers, admin staff, finance officers, HR, IT and corporate communications people, CEO's and of course the operations, facilities and purchasing people, just to name a few.

You are particularly encouraged to attend in 2009 if you have an interest in one of our plenary sessions:

Why attend Bench2Boardroom?

Being a true business to business event, B2B provides an excellent opportunity to meet new business partners, learn something new or update your knowledge and network with experts and practitioners from around the UK and abroad. Many delegates attend just for partnering and informal networking, others come for personal development, to visit the exhibit, or to listen to the plenaries.

Mix and Match the 5 Ways to Participate:

  1. Agenda of plenary panel presentations focussing on hot topics.
  2. Round Table workshops delve into specific topics with an expert moderator, including Bench Talks hosted by scientists.
  3. Exhibit floor of over 50 companies, for sourcing new suppliers and service providers, and learning about new technologies and offerings.
  4. Partnering using EBD Group's world leading partneringONE system allows all attendees to pre-arrange one to one meetings.
  5. Informal networking over breakfast, lunch, ice cream or during the evening reception.

A visitor's view of Bench2Boardroom 2008 - five benefits on the day!

I attended the Bench2Boardroom 2008 for the first time this year at short notice, representing some German Biotech companies, and enjoyed the benefits of five different and complementary aspects of the event. Coming in from the gloom of a rainy Wednesday morning, I entered the main hall at the delightfully unique Chilford Hall Vineyard to find a bustle of activity as delegates thronged, chatted and gazed at the exhibits. Taking a deep breath, I plunged in and almost immediately hit upon the first benefit... (link to http://www.miltoncontact.co.uk/bench2boardroom)

The best organised networking meeting that you will find - David Scales, CEO, Glycoform

Great meeting - Cambridge continues to attract Global biotechnology - Peter H Bach, Director, MedImmune

I expected to have a fruitful and successful day. I was wrong, it was better than that - Wim Troch, Business Development, Pharmalicensing
