Bench2Boardroom is now entering it’s 4th edition, and continues to improve by providing more focused content and partnering opportunities. Being a true business to business event, exhibitors, commercial companies, researchers and experts have numerous opportunities to network, learn and do business. For 2009, the partnering facility is being enhanced by bringing all the partnering tables into one room and providing seating for ad hoc networking.
B2B is an intensive day, covering a wide range of topics. The event attracts a true cross section of medtech and biotech staff, including people from the lab bench through to the boardroom – researchers, admin staff, finance officers, HR, IT, and corporate communications people, CEO’s and of course the operations, facilities and purchasing people, just to name a few.
B2B provides an excellent opportunity to meet new business partners, learn or update your knowledge and network with experts and practitioners from around the UK and abroad. Many delegates attend just for the partnering and informal networking, others come for personal development or to visit the exhibit, and others to participate in the agenda, which is arranged in three-tracks of educational topics:
1. R&D: methodologies and services for drug discovery and development, technologies for device design and manufacture, regulatory affairs, quality control.
2. Bench Talks: round table discussions on topics proposed by scientists and intended for scientists, providing a networking opportunity for both academic and commercial researchers.
3. Business and Operations: human resources, IP, finance, business support, IT, facilities, purchasing, operations, corporate communications.

Coming in from the gloom of a rainy Wednesday morning, I entered the main hall at the delightfully unique Chilford Hall Vineyard to find a bustle of activity as delegates thronged, chatted and gazed at the exhibits. Taking a deep breath, I plunged in and almost immediately hit upon the first benefit... (link to http://www.miltoncontact.co.uk/bench2boardroom)
